Abstract:
The drum-type washing machine according to the present invention is provided with: a drum rotatably supported by a horizontal or inclined rotary shaft; a motor that drives rotation of the drum; a water tank accommodating the drum; a balancer that has an annular container containing a moving element comprising a rolling element and a low viscous fluid, and is installed on the drum; and a control device. The control device comprises a position detection unit that detects the relative positions of an eccentric load of laundry in the drum and the rolling element. When the control device determines that the relative positions detected by the position detection unit are in the same phase while the drum is rotated at a rotational speed lower than a resonance rotational speed during the start of rotation of the drum in a spin-drying step, the control device causes the rotational speed of the drum to increase from the rotational speed lower than the resonance rotational speed to a rotational speed higher than the resonance rotational speed.
