Abstract:
The technical gist of the present invention relates to a duct for a submarine power cable, the duct being capable of shielding electromagnetic waves from the submarine power cable deployed in the seabed and comprising: a duct body provided with the power cable therein and protecting the power cable; a plurality of cable holders which are installed in the duct body to be spaced apart from one another in the lengthwise direction of the duct body and fix the power cable so as to prevent the movement of the power cable; and shielding layers which are laminated in the duct body and on the surfaces of the cable holders and shield the electromagnetic waves generated from the power cable. Accordingly, when the duct for the power cable is used, the power cable can be protected against an external shock, and the electromagnetic waves generated by the power cable can be shielded. Thus, the influence of the electromagnetic waves on marine life and the environment can be minimized.
