Abstract:
Provided are a durable thermal-insulation covering fabric specialized for an electrolytic tank and a preparation method therefor. The method comprises: firstly, preparing a polypropylene flat filament, and twisting the flat filament and a glass fiber spun yarn to form composite threads, and then weaving the composite threads as warps and wefts according to a warp-weft manner to obtain a base fabric; and treating the base fabric using a dispersion liquid formulated from water glass, hollow glass microspheres and a polytetrafluoroethylene emulsion. Since there are gaps between the flat filament and the glass fiber spun yarn of the base fabric, and the water glass has a good compatibility and adhesivity with the glass fiber, the hollow glass microspheres are adhered to and stay in the gaps, which not only makes the covering cloth have a good thermal insulation effect, but also makes it difficult for same to fall off and has a good durability, and can also effectively prevent acid mist erosion of the electrolytic tank.
