Abstract:
Provided is a dynamic image decoding device comprising an image decoding unit (10)
for storing a shared memory (20) with the decoded image data obtained by decoding a
bit stream stored in the shared memory (20), and for storing a reference image memory
(30) having a smaller access unit than that of the shared memory (20), with the
decoded image data, if this data relates to an I-picture or a P-picture. In a motion
compensation processing performed at the decoding time, the image decoding unit
(10) reads the decoded image data as reference image data, from the reference image
memory (30).
