Abstract:
Provided is a sponge-type earplug produced from polyurethane having antimicrobial properties. The earplug is produced through a raw material preparation step P1 of preparing an earplug raw material containing a urethane resin raw material and a foaming agent; a mixing step P2 of mixing the earplug raw material and an inorganic antimicrobial; a molding and curing step P3 of injecting the mixture into a mold, molding into an earplug shape, and curing the result; and a demolding step P4 of demolding the ear plug, which is the molded article, from the mold. The raw material preparation step P1 is a step for preparing the earplug raw material in such a manner that the required time for shape recovery for the earplug is 40 to 120 seconds. The required time for shape recovery is the time it takes for the earplug to return to its original shape from a state of being compressed substantially to the limit by fingers, after the compression is instantly completely released.
