Abstract:
An earth leakage detecting device (20) comprises: a first voltage-dividing circuit (30); a second voltage-dividing circuit (40); a switch unit (50) configured to be capable of switching the second voltage-dividing circuit between an energized state and an energization interrupted state; and a control unit (70) for detecting an earth leakage. The control unit implements: a first input step for switching the second voltage-dividing circuit to the energized state, inputting a first divided voltage value from the first voltage-dividing circuit, and inputting a second divided voltage value from the second voltage-dividing circuit; a second input step for switching the second voltage-dividing circuit to the energization interrupted state, and inputting a third divided voltage value from the first voltage-dividing circuit; a characteristic determining step for determining whether an abnormality has occurred in the first voltage-dividing circuit and the second voltage-dividing circuit on the basis of the first divided voltage value and the second divided voltage value; and an earth leakage detecting step for detecting an earth leakage on the basis of the first divided voltage value and the third divided voltage value.
