Abstract:
An elastic fluorocopolymer that is excellent in processability in molding, particularly stability in molding, and in vulcanizability and flow properties in molding and processing, gives a vulcanized rubber excellent in permanent compression set, and is prepared by two-stage emulsion polymerization of vinylidene fluoride with at least one other monomer using a water-soluble radical polymerization initiator and an oil-soluble one wherein the water-soluble radical polymerization initiator is used in an amount of as small as 0.001 to 0.03 wt.% based on the total weight of the copolymer to be formed in both stages.
