Abstract:
Provided is an elastic wave device capable of suppressing ripples in frequency characteristics. An elastic wave device 10 according to the present invention is provided with: a support substrate; a piezoelectric layer 14 provided on the support substrate; functional electrodes (first and second electrode fingers 18, 19) provided on the piezoelectric layer 14; and a first electrode film (first busbar 16) and a second electrode film (second busbar 17) which are provided on the piezoelectric layer 14, face each other, and are different from each other in potential. The thickness of the piezoelectric layer 14 in at least a portion of a region (first region E1) overlapping the first electrode film in a plan view is different from that of the piezoelectric layer 14 in at least a portion of regions (second and third regions E2, E3) not overlapping the first electrode film in the plan view.
