Abstract:
Provided are an electric motor drive device 100 and an electric motor drive system 1. In response to the problem of large fluctuations in an estimated value of a characteristic of an electric motor 301 or a drive mechanism 302 due to a change in an operation condition, such as a change in an operation pattern, a change in a workpiece or a disrupted operation in working operations, the electric motor drive device and an electric motor drive system are provided with a characteristic estimation instruction acquisition unit 112 that acquires, from outside the electric motor drive device 100, a characteristic estimation instruction signal C1 for instructing whether to perform estimation, depending on an operation condition. By not performing an estimation in the case of an instruction by the characteristic estimation instruction signal C1 to not estimate, the electric motor drive device and an electric motor drive system are capable of using a characteristic estimation value without being affected by a change in the operation condition.
