Abstract:
This electric parking brake device is provided with: a "linear motion member that applies a parking brake by being driven by an electric motor and being moved in a forward direction, and that releases the parking brake by being moved in a backward direction reverse to the forward direction"; and a "controller that controls the electric motor". To release the parking brake, the controller stops energization of the electric motor after a first predetermined time has elapsed from a point of time when the amount of energization to the electric motor becomes constant.
