Abstract:
An electric power converting device (101) is provided with an electric power converting unit (11), a control circuit unit (12) for controlling the electric power converting unit, a casing (13) internally accommodating the electric power converting unit and the control circuit unit, a cooling path (15) including an inside-case cooling path (30) which is a flow passage through which a refrigerant for cooling the electric power converting unit flows and which is provided inside the casing, and an outside-case cooling path (40) which communicates with the inside-case cooling path, is drawn out to the outside from the inside of the casing, and is provided in a non-contact manner with respect to a surface of the casing, at least one pump (14) provided midway along the cooling path to cause the refrigerant to flow through the cooling path, and a heat exchanger (16) provided integrally with the casing on the surface of the casing to dissipate heat from the refrigerant flowing through the outside-case cooling path to the outside, wherein the electric power converting unit is cooled by the refrigerant flowing through the inside-case cooling path, and the heat exchanger and the casing are cooled by air cooling.
