Abstract:
Provided is an electric power source device which is configured so that, even if a high-temperature, high-pressure gas is discharged from a secondary battery cell, the gas can be safely discharged to the outside of the electric power source device. An electric power source device (100) is provided with a plurality of secondary battery cells (1) having gas discharge valves (15) for discharging internal gas, and also with a cover section (50) disposed on one surface of a battery stack body (2) formed by stacking the plurality of secondary battery cells (1). The cover section (50) has defined therein a gas guide passage through which gas discharged from the gas discharge valves (15) is discharged to the outside of the cover section (50). In a plan view of the cover section (50), the gas guide passage includes one or more horizontal gas flow bending sections for bending the direction of movement of at least part of the gas.
