Abstract:
Provided is an electric rotary machine that has high insulation reliability while still suppressing the manufacturing cost. The present invention is an electric rotary machine provided with: stator coils each composed of a coil conductor, a main insulating layer disposed around the coil conductor, and a slot liner disposed around the main insulating layer; and a stator iron core that is formed of a plurality of laminated steel plates and that has stator slots for storing the stator coils. The present invention is characterized in that: first cloth fibers and second cloth fibers that are disposed closer to the main insulating layers than the first cloth fibers are are provided between the main insulating layers and the stator slots; and the lengths of the first cloth fibers and the lengths of the second cloth fibers differ in the longitudinal direction of the stator iron core.
