Abstract:
This electric supercharger is provided with: a disk-shaped thrust collar provided between a compressor impeller and an electric motor in such a way as to project in a flange shape around a rotating shaft; a thrust air bearing which faces a surface of the thrust collar on the compressor impeller side thereof, and which supports the rotating shaft in a thrust direction; a thrust air bearing which faces the thrust collar on the electric motor side thereof and which supports the rotating shaft in the thrust direction; a bearing space which is sandwiched between the thrust air bearings and in which the thrust collar is accommodated; and a labyrinth seal portion which is provided around an outer circumferential surface of the thrust collar, and which divides the bearing space into a first region on the compressor impeller side and a second region on the electric motor side.
