Abstract:
A sealed housing (12) houses a motor (18), an inverter (20), and a compressor (24); an air supply pipe (14) is connected to the sealed housing (12), and an air supply passage is formed inside of the sealed housing (12). Further, a connection port (30a) of an external air intake pipe (30) provided with a flow adjustment valve (32) is arranged across from an inlet (25a) to the compressor (24). When the amount and pressure of air discharged from the compressor (24) fall due to pressure loss of the supplied air (a) which passes through a supply air path (16) and cools the motor (18) and the inverter (20), low-temperature external air is introduced from the external air introduction pipe (30) to avoid the compressor (30) having insufficient capacity, poor performance, or overheating.
