Abstract:
Disclosed is a technique which can prevent or reduce uneven luminance that occurs on a light-emitting surface of a lighting device. Specifically disclosed is a backlight device (24) comprising an LED light source (28), a diffusion plate (20) for diffusing light emitted from the LED light source (28), and a diffusion reflection sheet (26) having a diffusion reflection surface (26a) on which light emitted from the LED light source can be reflected while being diffused. In the diffusion plate (20), one plate surface (20a) is exposed to the LED light source (28) and the diffusion reflection surface (26a) of the diffusion reflection sheet (26). The LED light source (28) is so adapted that the incidence angle (s) of light emitted from the LED light source (28) against the diffusion reflection surface (26a) of the diffusion reflection sheet (26) becomes acute.
