Abstract:
The present invention provides an electric toothbrush that achieves a stable and sufficient vibration of a replacement part even when a stable engagement structure for closely engaging the replacement part and a main part with each other is employed. The electric toothbrush comprises: a main part which includes a power supply, is provided with a shaft, and forms at least a portion of a grip part, the shaft extending in the long-axis direction, projecting toward a distal end side in the long-axis direction, and vibrating by electric power from the power supply; and an replacement part which is detachably connected to the main part on the distal end side of the main part in the long-axis direction, receives transmitted vibration when connected to the main part, and forms at least a head portion including a brush portion. One of the main part and the replacement part has a seat portion which is apart from the main part and the replacement part in the long-axis direction, and which includes first electrodes connected by flexible electrical wires, while the other one of the main part and the replacement part includes second electrodes to be connected to the first electrodes when the replacement part and the main part are connected with each other. When connected to each other, the first electrodes and the second electrodes are electrically connected to the power supply.
