Abstract:
Provided is an electric vehicle drive control device which makes attaining travel with no feeling of discomfort possible even when an abnormality has occurred in a rotation angle sensor for detecting the rotation angle of a travel motor. The electric vehicle drive control device is equipped with a controller for controlling an engine, a travel motor, a transmission, and an output clutch. The controller estimates the rotation angle by using a first estimation method which can be implemented when the rotation speed of the travel motor equals or exceeds a threshold, and the controller is capable of controlling the travel motor on the basis of the estimated rotation angle. When there is an abnormality in the rotation angle sensor or while in a specific operation state in which the rotation speed of the travel motor is less than the threshold during a control when the rotation angle sensor is normal, the controller keeps the rotation speed of the travel motor at or above the threshold by controlling at least one element among the engine, the transmission and the output clutch so as to be in a mode which differs from the control when the rotation angle sensor is normal.
