Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an electrically heated catalyst for purifying exhaust gas, the catalyst being such that the exhaust gas purification performance thereof does not readily deteriorate. In order to achieve this purpose, the present invention provides an electrically heated catalyst (1) for purifying exhaust gas, the catalyst (1) comprising a substrate (10), at least a pair of electrodes (20a, 20b) provided on the substrate (10), an undercoat layer (30) that is provided on the substrate (10) and that contains aluminum oxide as a main component, and a catalyst layer (40) that is provided on the undercoat layer (30) and that contains a noble metal element, the undercoat layer (30) containing a group 2 element.
