Abstract:
An electrode for a lithium ion secondary battery, having a binder including a vinyl chloride resin (PVC) and a polyvinylidene fluoride（PVDF). The electrode for a lithium ion secondary battery is characterized by: the weight ratio between the PVC and the PVDF being PVC:PVDF =8:2-3:7; and at least one of either formula (a) or formula (b) being fulfilled. (a) The degree of polymerization of the PVC is at least 900. (b) The degree of polymerization of the PVDF is at least 5,000.
