Abstract:
An electrode (11) manufacturing method comprises a placing step for placing a seal member (140) on an uncoated portion of a current collector (12), and a welding step for performing pressurized heating in which the seal member is heated while being pressed onto the uncoated portion using a jig (60), to thereby weld the seal member onto the current collector. The jig is provided with a heater portion (61) which is deformable and configured to heat the seal member, and a pressing portion (64) configured to press the heater portion onto the seal member. The placing step comprises placing the seal member on the uncoated portion in such a way that an exposed portion in which the seal member is not placed is formed in the uncoated portion. The welding step comprises performing heating in a state in which the heater portion is being pressed against the seal member and the exposed portion, while deforming the heater portion so as to follow compressive deformation of the pressing portion.
