Abstract:
According to an embodiment, an electrode is provided. The electrode comprises an active material-containing layer, which contains active material particles and a binder including a polymer. The active material particles include a lithium-containing nickel-cobalt-manganese composite oxide represented by LiaNi(1-x-y)CoxMnyMzO2 (0.9≤a≤1.2, 0＜x≤0.5, 0＜y≤0.5, 0＜z≤0.1, x≥y, 0.4≤1-x-y≤0.8, and M is at least one element selected from among B, Mg, Al, Si, Ca, Ti, Zn, Zr, Sn, and W). The polymer has a repeating unit derived from vinylidene fluoride, and has at least one peak in the range of -90 ppm to -88 ppm, inclusive, in a nuclear magnetic resonance spectrum using 19F as a detection nucleus.
