Abstract:
This donut-shaped electrode for spot welding has an electrode distal end portion (1) and an electrode-supporting portion (2). Because the electrode distal end portion (1) is in movable contact with the electrode supporting portion (2), the conformability of the donut-shaped electrode to a steel sheet is dramatically improved, and because the entire surfaces of donut-shaped contacting and conducting portions (14) can be brought into contact with the steel sheets (50), a high cross-tensile strength (CTS) of the spot-welded joint can be ensured, even if the steel sheets (50) are inclined.
