Abstract:
The present invention provides: an electrode stack which can be used for assembly of an electrochemical element, while being capable of having a reduced internal resistance; a method for producing this electrode stack; and an electrochemical element which uses this electrode stack. An electrode stack according to the present invention comprises a first electrode, a second electrode, and a separation layer that is interposed therebetween; at least one of the first electrode and the second electrode comprises an electrode mixture layer and a sheet-like porous metal base material; the porous metal base material is integrated with the electrode mixture layer by having at least a part thereof including the electrode mixture layer-side end embedded in the superficial part of the electrode mixture layer; and the other end of the porous metal base material is exposed in the surface of the electrode. An electrochemical element according to the present invention comprises an outer case which has a conduction path that leads to the outside, and an electrode stack according to the present invention; and a porous metal base material in the surface of an electrode of this electrode stack is brought into contact with the conduction path so that the electrode and the conduction path are electrically connected to each other.
