Title:
ELECTROLYTIC BATH, ELECTROLYSIS DEVICE, ELECTROLYSIS METHOD, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING HYDROGEN
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/139616
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to increase energy conversion efficiency and suppress an increase in the temperature of an electrolytic solution in alkaline water electrolysis in which an electrolytic bath having a zero-gap structure is used. [Solution] the present invention is: an electrolytic bath in which a plurality of elements provided with a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a partition wall, and an outer frame are superposed on each other so as to sandwich diaphragms therebetween, a zero-gap structure being formed in which the diaphragms are in contact with the positive electrodes and the negative electrodes, and a plurality of flow-straightening plates being provided to an electrode chamber, the electrolytic bath being characterized in that the length A of the electrode chamber is 0.40 m to 4.0 m, the length B of the electrode chamber is 0.0030 m to 0.030 m, and the interval C between the flow-straightening plates is 0.050 m to 0.19 m; an electrolytic bath for alkaline water electrolysis; an electrolysis device; a water electrolysis method; and a method for producing hydrogen.
