Abstract:
An electrolytic capacitor 1 of the present invention is provided with a capacitor element 20 comprising: an anode 3 including a planar valve metal substrate 4 having an upper surface on which a dielectric layer 4b is provided, the planar valve metal substrate 4 having a first main surface 5a and a second main surface 5b; and a cathode 7 opposing the anode 3. When the capacitor element 20 is viewed from a direction perpendicular to the first main surface, the electrolytic capacitor 1 has an anode lead-out side 19a from which the anode 3 is led to the outside, and a cathode lead-out side 19b from which the cathode 7 is led to the outside. In a cross section of the capacitor element 20 taken in a direction along the thickness direction thereof, in the vicinity of an end surface including the cathode lead-out side 19b, a first angle θ1, which is the internal angle of a first intersecting portion 6a in which the first main surface 5a of the valve metal substrate 4 intersects a first end surface 5c extending from the first main surface 5a of the valve metal substrate 4 toward the center of the valve metal substrate 4 in the thickness direction, and a second angle θ2, which is the internal angle of a second intersecting portion 6b in which the second main surface 5b of the valve metal substrate 4 intersects a second end surface 5d extending from the second main surface 5b of the valve metal substrate 4 toward the center of the valve metal substrate 4 in the thickness direction, are both obtuse angles.
