Abstract:
Provided is an electromagnetic switch device for a starter, which has a built-in auxiliary relay, exhibits good vibration resistance, and is low cost. The switch device comprises: a terminal block (43) in which a main contact chamber, which opens to a side in the axial direction of an attraction coil (25) and has therein one pair of main fixed contacts and a main movable contact, and an auxiliary relay (65), which opens to the other side in the axial direction of the attraction coil (25); a cover (44) which has through-holes for secondary fixed contacts (28) to penetrate through in a state in which the auxiliary relay is sealed to the opening side where the auxiliary relay of the terminal block is disposed; and an elastic member (42) which is disposed between the auxiliary relay (65) and the cover (44), thereby axially fixing the auxiliary relay (65) together with the terminal block (43) and the cover (44).
