The present application provides an electronic apparatus and method employing a mobile device and a display device to display duplicate screens. The electronic apparatus comprises: at least one first interface unit connected to an input device so as to receive an operation instruction output by the input device; a second interface unit outputting the received operation instruction to the mobile device, and receiving image information output by the mobile device, wherein the image information comprises image information in which the mobile device generates an operation event according to the operation instruction and outputs the operation event; and a processing unit configured to connect the second interface unit with the display device so as to decode the received image information and output a duplicate-screen image to be displayed on the display device. The invention thus meets user requirements of operating a mobile device by means of an external input device and achieves use of a large screen for a mobile office or entertainment purposes.
