Abstract:
An electronic apparatus (1) is provided with a selecting unit (2), a distance measuring unit (3), and a calculating unit (4). The selecting unit (2) selects a kind of a subject to be measured. The distance measuring unit (3) drives, at measuring time intervals that correspond to the kind, a first sensor and a second sensor, which detect passing of the subject to be measured, and the distance measuring unit makes the sensors detect the passing of the subject to be measured. The distance measuring unit (3) calculates, on the basis of output from the first sensor, a first distance to the subject to be measured. The distance measuring unit (3) calculates, on the basis of output from the second sensor, a second distance to the subject to be measured. The calculating unit (4) acquires, on the basis of the first distance, a first time when the subject to be measured passes the first sensor. The calculating unit (4) acquires, on the basis of the second distance, a second time when the subject to be measured passes the second sensor. The calculating unit (4) calculates a speed of the subject to be measured on the basis of the first time, the second time, and a distance between the first sensor and the second sensor.
