Abstract:
Provided are an electronic device which shows low power consumption and acquires a high-resolution depth value with respect to a region of interest, and an operation method thereof. The electronic device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure can emit light to an object by using a Lissajous scanning pattern, identify a time point at which the light is emitted within a region of interest on the basis of position information of the emitted light, operate a light reception sensor at the identified time point through operation timing control of the light reception sensor and detect light reflected from the object, and acquire a depth value of the object on the basis of time of flight (ToF) of the detected light.
