Abstract:
In order to avoid erroneous counting of the number of steps when a user uses a means of travel other than walking, a number-of-steps counting unit (13) switches the cycle range for variation in acceleration values for counting the number of steps, when a determination has been made by a travel means determination unit (11) that the user is walking and when a determination has been made that the user is using a means of travel other than walking.
