Abstract:
An electronic device is disclosed. The present electronic device may include: a memory for storing home appliance information corresponding to each of a plurality of households and power use amount information corresponding to each of the plurality of households; and a processor connected to the memory and controlling the electronic device, wherein the processor: acquires home appliance information corresponding to a new household when a service request is received from the new household; updates the home appliance information corresponding to the new household on the basis of at least one appliance included in the acquired home appliance information; identifies at least one household from among the plurality of households on the basis of the undated home appliance information; and acquires predicted power use amount information of the new household on the basis of power use amount information corresponding to the identified at least one household.
