Abstract:

An electronic device (1) and a control method for the electronic device (1), which relate to the technical field of electronic devices (1). The electronic device (1) comprises a battery (11), a circuit board (12), and a detection processing unit (13). The battery (11) comprises an encapsulation film (112), and the encapsulation film (112) comprises a first metal layer (1121). The circuit board (12) and the battery (11) are relatively fixed, and at least part of the circuit board (12) is opposite to the surface of the battery (11) and has a gap. The part of the circuit board (12) opposite to the surface of the battery (11) and having the gap comprises a second metal layer (121). The second metal layer (121) and the first metal layer (1121) form a parallel plate capacitor. The detection processing unit (13) is electrically connected to the parallel plate capacitor. The detection processing unit (13) is used to detect a capacitance value of the parallel plate capacitor, and determine the swelling state of the battery (11) according to the capacitance value. The swelling state of the battery (11) is used to trigger an early warning or protection operation of the battery (11). The electronic device (1) is used to implement one or more electronic functions, and may detect and perform early warning or protect from the swelling of the battery (11) so as to reduce the possibility of the battery (11) causing safety accidents such as fire, explosion or poisoning.
