Abstract:
Provided is an electronic device that prevents erroneous operation due to unintentional contact with a touch screen, and that can be operated without the need to check the screen display. This electronic device (10) comprises: a display unit (102) that displays an object associated with a predetermined function; a touch sensor (103); a tactile-sensation providing unit (104) that provides a tactile sensation on the touch surface of the touch sensor; and a control unit (106), which controls the tactile-sensation providing unit (104) so that the first tactile sensation is provided when contact with the display surface of the object is detected, and which executes the predetermined function associated with the object when data obtained from the pressure of the contact satisfies a predetermined threshold.
