Abstract:
According to various embodiments, an electronic device comprises an application processor and a touch sensor IC configured to obtain touch input data through a touch sensor, wherein the application processor may be configured to obtain first touch input data from the touch sensor IC, identify whether to perform a pre-set function on the basis of the first touch input data, obtain second touch input data from the touch sensor IC, identify whether to perform the pre-set function on the basis of the second touch input data, identify whether the second touch input data indicates a stable state on the basis of the first touch input data and the second touch input data, and transmit first information about the second touch input data to the touch sensor IC in response to identifying that the second touch input data indicates the stable state, and the touch sensor IC may be configured to obtain third touch input data and identify whether to perform the pre-set function on the basis of the first information and the third touch input data. Various other embodiments are possible.
