Abstract:
Provided is an electronic device with which, in a system wherein an existing capacitance touch panel is used as a board, the type of a user operation can be identified from indirect multi-touch. The present invention relates to an electronic device, which comprises a capacitance touch panel and which is included in a system comprising the electronic device and objects that are used while being placed on the touch panel and are at least partially formed from conductor parts. When the conductor parts are touched by a user, a change in capacitance that is greater than or equal to a prescribed amount occur due to the conductor parts in the bottom surfaces of the objects at positions corresponding to each of the conductor parts in the bottom surfaces. The electronic device determines the type of user operation on the basis of tensor data created by distributing, along a time axis, a matrix representing positions of touch events occurring at given time intervals and reference tensor data stored in advance in a pattern database for each type of user operation.
