Abstract:
The invention relates to an electronic payment system comprising digital monetary units, which have particular characteristics and are called 'intelligent web.cents'. According to the invention, each monetary unit consists of a file containing identification data that unequivocally identifies the monetary unit. The invention is characterised in that in addition to said identification data, the file also contains additional data relating to the monetary unit.
