Abstract:
Provided are an electrophoresis method, electrophoresis system, and electrophoresis gel for highly efficient collection of biological material from the electrophoresis gel. This electrophoresis method uses an electrophoresis gel having an injection hole for injecting biological material and a collection hole for collecting the biological material. The method is characterized by having a step for injecting the biological material into the injection hole and a step for applying an electrical field penetrating the injection hole and collection hole. The electrophoresis method is characterized in that given an X-axis for which the positive direction is vertically downward, a Y-axis that is perpendicular to the X-axis and parallel to a plane passing through given points in the injection hole and collection hole, and coordinates for the bottom of the collection hole of (Xc, Yc), when the biological material moves through electrophoresis from the bottom of the injection hole to coordinates (X1, Yc) within the collection hole in the electrical field application step, the coordinate Xc of the bottom of the collection hole satisfies Xc > X1.
