Abstract:
The present invention relates to the field of electrophoretic display apparatuses, and particularly relates to an electrophoretic fluid, an image display device, and an image display driving method. The electrophoretic fluid comprises: a first type of pigment particles, a second type of pigment particles, and a third type of pigment particles. The particle sizes of the first type of pigment particles, the second type of pigment particles, and the third type of pigment particles are the same. The electrical properties of the second type of pigment particles are the same as the electrical properties of the third type of pigment particles, and the electrical properties of the first type of pigment particles are opposite to the electrical properties of the third type of pigment particles. The mass of the second type of pigment particles is 3 to 6 times the mass of the third type of pigment particles. The image display device comprises multiple display units. Each of the display units comprises an electrophoresis tank. Each electrophoresis tank is filled with the electrophoretic liquid described in a first aspect of the present invention. The electrophoretic fluid, the image display device, and the image display driving method provided by the present invention control vertical movement of the particles by applying different positive and negative voltages, such that different colors are displayed.
