Abstract:
Disclosed is an elevator apparatus capable of increasing reliability of an emergency stop device that is operated by an operating mechanism comprising a magnet part. An elevator apparatus according to the present invention comprises: an elevator car (3); and an emergency stop system that has an emergency stop device (20) provided in the elevator car and an operating mechanism (30) for activating the emergency stop device. The elevator car moves up and down while being guided by guide rails (5A, 5B). The operating mechanism includes: an operating rod that is connected to a damper provided to the emergency stop device; and a magnet part that is provided to the operating rod. When activating the emergency stop device, the operating mechanism causes the magnet part to attract the guide rails. The emergency stop system has a permanent magnet part (51). Magnetic poles of the permanent magnet part are exposed in a hoistway.
