Abstract:
According to the present invention, an elevator for construction comprises a boarding car supported by a plurality of ropes, a winding machine that winds up the ropes, a temporary machine room in which the winding machine is installed, and a rope fixing device that is disposed in the temporary machine room and is for fixing the ropes or releasing the fixing. The rope fixing device comprises: a plurality of rope drums onto which the plurality of ropes are individually wound and that are able to rotate independently of each other; and a plurality of stopper units that are respectively provided to the rope drums and are able to switch between a first state in which the rotation of the rope drums is fixed and a second state in which the rotation fixing of the rope drums is released.
