Abstract:

Provided is an elevator controller wherein a user is prevented surely from getting into an elevator cage accidentally during failure diagnosis of a door switch, and the neighboring people do not misunderstand the operation during failure diagnosis as the failure of an elevator. During self diagnosis of a door switch, the elevator door is opened across the operating position of the door switch, and the door is closed without being opened more than a predetermined width that the user of elevator cannot pass. A decision is made whether a failure exists in the door switch or not based on the operating state thereof when such a door open/close operation is carried out.
