Abstract:
A governor sheave in an elevator governor rotates in a first direction in association with the raising of a body being hoisted. A pawl holding mechanism maintains a state in which a pawl is engaged with a ratchet gear when the governor sheave rotates in the first direction from a stopped state due to a rope catch mechanism. The rope catch mechanism is coupled to the ratchet gear via a coupling pin. The ratchet gear is provided with a coupling pin hole. The coupling pin hole is an elongated arc-shaped hole. The pawl hold state due to the pawl holding mechanism is released by way of rotating the governor sheave in the first direction while the ratchet gear is stopped.
