Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an elevator safety device capable of simplifying trap prevention mechanisms and of being easily attached to existing elevators.
The elevator safety device according to this invention comprises a door frame (3) forming the elevator entrance and exit, a sliding door (2) that opens and closes through the door frame (3) and a gap (G), and a trap prevention cover (10) mounted on the door frame (3) to prevent foreign bodies from being trapped in the gap (G). The trap prevention cover (10) comprises a mount (11) that can be mounted to the door frame (3) in a fixed state, an actuating part (12) formed into a wedge with the distal end of the wedge inserted into the gap (G) and disposed in the vicinity of the sliding door (2), and a flexible actuating arm (13) facing toward the sliding door (2) from the mount (11) and extending in a convex shape to the interior of the entrance, that is connected to the base of the actuating part (12).
