Title:
OPTICAL FIBER THERMAL SENSOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/183126
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention is an optical fiber thermal sensor that implements thermal monitoring functionality in a sandwich busbar interphase insulating material, wherein the optical fiber thermal sensor is formed by an optical fiber cable being accommodated in a housing made from an ultrathin sheet using insulating material equal to or better than the sandwich busbar interphase insulating material. A plurality of ultrathin cylindrical members made from the same material as a housing material are accommodated in a plurality of locations in the housing, and a plurality of sensing rings are formed by winding an optical fiber cable onto each of the plurality of ultrathin cylindrical members to at least a length corresponding to the axial resolution without anchoring the optical fiber cable. The temperature at the plurality of locations is measured by the plurality of sensing rings. The housing-side face is silicon sealed, and the entire surface of the housing is sealed with a sealing member made of a silicon-based liquid insulating material.
