Abstract:
Provided is an elevator system capable of, even with a landing call registration device having been installed in a location distant from an elevator hall, reliably preventing a user from missing an elevator. In an elevator system which manages a plurality of elevators as a group, a landing call registration device, with which a user registers a landing call before arriving at an elevator hall, has been installed, and a car to be assigned is determined for a distant landing call registered from this landing call registration device. Further, measurement of a first time period is started when the distant landing call is registered. Then, the door closing button of the assigned car is kept disabled from when the assigned car has stopped at the hall until the first time period passes. Thereafter, after the first time period has passed, the door closing button is enabled. Further, for the duration of a second time period from the later of when the assigned car has arrived at the hall or when the first time period has passed, the assigned car is kept waiting at the hall with the door being open.
