Abstract:

Disclosed is a secondary battery system which comprises an assembled battery (2) including secondary batteries (P11 to P46); voltage dividing resistors (31A, 31B) that divide the voltage between the positive pole and the negative pole of the assembled battery (2) equally at the midpoint therebetween; a ground fault detecting resistor (32) that grounds the midpoint; a ground fault detector (33) that detects a ground fault on the basis of current flowing through the ground fault detecting resistor (32); and a current direction determining circuit (34) that determines whether the ground fault point is located at a side of the assembled battery (2) adjacent to the positive pole (GP) or at a side of the assembled battery (2) adjacent to the negative pole (GN) on the basis of the direction of the current flowing through the ground fault detecting resistor (32).
