Abstract:
Provided are an embroidery frame transfer device capable of increasing the possibility that an embroidery frame can be retracted from above a bobbin insertion opening of a needle plate, and a sewing machine provided with the embroidery frame transfer device. The embroidery frame transfer device is provided with: a guiding portion which defines a movement direction (first direction R) for removing an embroidery frame 50, and a movement direction (second direction R) for fitting the embroidery frame 50; a lever 7B capable of moving between a first restricted position in which movement of the embroidery frame 50 in the first direction R is restricted, and a first released position in which said movement is not restricted; and a latching portion 7C capable of moving between a second restricted position in which movement of the embroidery frame 50 in the second direction M is restricted, and a second released position in which said movement is not restricted.
