Abstract:
The present invention provides an emission spectroscopic analysis method for measuring, in a speedy and highly accurate manner, the concentration of Sb contained in a metal material (in particular, a metal material containing a large amount of iron such as an iron/steel material). In this emission spectroscopic analysis method, spark discharge is repeatedly produced between a metal material and an electrode facing the metal material to produce excitation emission, the excitation emission is spectrally dispersed, the emission intensity IM of a matrix element of the metal material and the emission intensity ISb of Sb contained in the metal material are measured in order to obtain the ratio ISb/IM of the emission intensity ISb relative to the emission intensity IM, and the above spark discharge is performed at a discharge energy below 0.10 J.
