Abstract:
The present invention is an emulsion of an amino-modified silicone that contains (A) an amino-modified silicone represented by formula (1) and having a viscosity at 25°C of 200-100,000 mPa·s and an amine equivalent of 1,000-20,000 g/mol, (B) a nonionic surfactant: 5-100 mass% relative to the mass of component (A), (C) lactic acid or acetic acid: 50-100 mol% relative to the number of mol of amino groups in component (A), and (D) water: 85-10,000 mass% relative to the mass of component (A). The increases in (D4), (D5), and (D6) are each less than 3,000 ppm relative to the mass of component (A) when the emulsion of amino-modified silicone is stored for six months at 25°C. Provided thereby is an emulsion of amino-modified silicone in which octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane, etc., do not tend to increase over time and that imparts excellent smoothness and softness when combined with a hair cosmetic or textile treatment agent.
